Job summary

Northampton Public Schools seeks a full-time custodian for JFK Middle School. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:45 p.m.–10:45 p.m., 40 hours weekly, with an hourly salary range of $21.84–$27.72 depending on experience.

Duties include cleaning, maintenance, opening/closing buildings, and light repairs. A high school degree is preferred with at least six months of related experience; MA Class D license is preferred. CORI/SAFIS checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months’ related experience required.
• MA Class D Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning and floor care.
• Open/close buildings, unlock/lock doors, operate heating and cooling systems.
• Move and set up furniture, dispose of refuse, and perform minor repairs or grounds work as needed.
• May perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical duties as directed.
