Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking an Evening Building Services/Custodial worker at Beall Elementary School. You will clean and maintain school facilities, operate custodial equipment, and support safety and security in a collaborative team.

This is a part-time position (4:00–8:00 PM) with a 40-hour bi-weekly schedule and benefits information available via MCPS. Experience in custodial work is a plus, with wage range $20.65 to $26.16 per hour based on years of service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building and grounds work methods, materials, and practices.
• Ability to operate and maintain custodial and grounds equipment such as scrubbers, snow blowers, burnishers, and hydraulic lifts.
• Uses PPE and safety tools; monitors spaces to ensure safety and security; basic emergency response knowledge.
• Familiarity with SSPGS competencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform building cleaning and facilities maintenance in schools and administrative buildings.
• Use cleaning and grounds equipment to maintain interior spaces and grounds.
• Follow safety procedures and be prepared to report during inclement weather.
