Job summary

Dublin City Schools seeks a Custodian for Coffman High School, 2nd shift (2:30pm–11pm). This position helps provide a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment for students and staff, enabling learning and activities after classes.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to perform general repairs and operate cleaning equipment, neat appearance, courteous communication, and willingness to follow district policies. Salary ranges from $20.68 to $24.51 per hour.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or training and experiences that are considered equivalent.
• A proficiency in general repair, painting, cleaning, and operating of cleaning equipment.
• An ability to communicate in a courteous manner.
• A neat appearance.
• An ability to carry out assigned duties.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises neat and clean.
• Notifies head custodian or principal of emergencies and controls HVAC when needed.
• Cleans assigned classrooms daily and dusts furniture as time permits.
• Keeps floors and corridors in good condition.
• Scrubs and disinfects toilets and lunchroom areas daily.
• Reports major repairs and safety hazards promptly.
• Assists in keeping the grounds free from rubbish.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional behavior.
