Job summary

UrgentPaws LLC is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California to join our new urgent care team. The RVT will handle vital signs, histories, animal handling, x-rays, labs, and client education with a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

We offer an open, integrated space and a non-traditional schedule of afternoons and evenings. No overnights or on-call hours are required, with opportunities for growth and ongoing CE support.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technician program.
• Current California RVT license.
• Pass the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE).
• Complete CE requirements to maintain CA RVT license.
• 1+ years’ RVT experience, preferably urgent care/emergency.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and medical histories for patients.
• Assist with animal handling and nursing care.
• Take and process diagnostic radiographs (X-rays).
• Collect and process lab samples for analysis.
• Greet, educate, and support clients from arrival to discharge.
