Job summary

UrgentPaws LLC in California seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our brand-new urgent care team. You will obtain medical histories, assist with procedures, take X-rays, collect labs, and help teach Veterinary Assistants in a fast-paced open-space clinic with an afternoons/evenings schedule.

The ideal candidate is AVMA-accredited graduate, holds California RVT license, VTNE, and has 1+ years urgent care experience; offers competitive hourly pay, 401(k), medical coverage, CE

Qualifications

Graduate from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technician program.
Current California RVT License.
Pass the VTNE exam.
Maintain CE requirements for CA RVT license.
1+ years’ experience in urgent care or emergency settings.

Responsibilities

Obtain vital signs and medical histories for patients.
Assist with animal handling, medications, and nursing care.
Take and process diagnostic radiographs (X-rays).
Collect and process lab samples for analysis (blood, urine, feces, cytology).
Greet and educate clients from arrival to discharge; process payments in exam room.
