Job summary

Revive Veterinary Care in California seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for a non-exempt, full-time role under the Medical Director, providing anesthesia, surgery support, radiography, and in-house laboratory care in a busy ER.

Qualifications

• Active RVT license in California.
• Associate’s or Bachelor's in Veterinary Technology from AVMA-accredited program.
• Strong pharmacology knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work long hours.
• Team-first attitude, resilience, and calmly handling ER/surgery pace.
• Proficient in English and US citizen or PR.

Responsibilities

• Anesthesia Management: Induce, monitor, and maintain anesthesia; pre‑anesthetic assessments and post‑operative care.
• Surgical Assisting: Prepare suites, gown/glove up, and maintain sterile fields.
• Radiography: Position patients and capture digital X-ray and dental images.
• Laboratory Skills: Collect/process samples and perform in-house tests.
• Advanced Nursing: Administer meds, place IV catheters, and fluid therapy.
• Triage: Assess emergencies and stabilize patients.
• Dental Prophylaxis: Dental radiographs, scaling, polishing, and extractions under supervision.
• Education/Communication: Explain treatment plans and discharge instructions to clients.
