Avride Inc. in Columbus, Ohio is hiring an entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support the daily operations, maintenance, and preparations of our autonomous delivery robots.

This part-time role offers hands-on experience in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly at a cutting-edge startup environment. You will help prepare robots for shifts, charge batteries, perform basic repairs, calibrations, and keep the workshop clean.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work evenings and 2–3 days per week.
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem solving.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Introductory background or interest in EV service, automotive repair, or electronics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
• Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness.
• Clean robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware.
• Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet.
• Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet.
• Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.
• Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
• Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team.
