Job summary

Acacia Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in West Orange, NJ is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for the 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM shift. This full-time role leads nursing operations, mentors staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and delivers high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include staffing oversight, rounds, care plan reviews, medication administration, and admissions support. RN license in New Jersey, 2+ years in geriatric care, and 1+ year supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care or geriatric settings.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily nursing operations.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed for optimal coverage.
• Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident care and staff performance; report findings to leadership.
• Participate in state surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Review and implement resident care plans, including discharge planning.
• Ensure accurate medication administration and timely completion of treatments.
• Provide direct nursing care and assessments as needed.
• Oversee new admissions, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition.
• Collaborate with physicians during rounds when necessary.
• Address staff concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately.
• Assist in performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.
