Job summary

Excelsior Care Group's Acacia Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in West Orange, NJ is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for the 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM shift. You will lead nursing operations, mentor staff, and ensure resident-centered care while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license, a nursing degree, CPR certification, and at least 2 years in long-term care with 1 year in leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active RN license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care, subacute, or geriatric settings.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily nursing operations.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed for optimal coverage.
• Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident care and staff performance; report findings to leadership.
• Participate in state surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Review and implement resident care plans, including discharge planning.
• Ensure accurate medication administration and timely completion of treatments.
• Provide direct nursing care and assessments as needed.
• Oversee new admissions, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition.

Salary: Up to $110,000 annually (based on experience)

Acacia Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated RN Supervisor to lead nursing operations during the evening shift. Key Responsibilities

• Support the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily nursing operations
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed for optimal coverage

• Review and implement resident care plans, including discharge planning
• Ensure accurate medication administration and timely completion of treatments
• Provide direct nursing care and assessments as needed

• Collaborate with physicians during rounds when necessary
• Address staff concerns professionally and elevate issues appropriately
• Assist in performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall facility operations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current, active RN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care, subacute, or geriatric settings
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
• Current CPR certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
