Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Main OR team in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time evening position (11:00 AM–11:00 PM) includes a self-scheduled call requirement with a 40-minute response time.

The RN will provide patient care in the operating room, collaborate with physicians, educate families, and participate in unit activities, with 1–2 years OR circulating nursing experience preferred and Florida RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license is required.
• 1–2 years Operating Room Circulating nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition.
• Uphold the hospital mission statement and educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Act as the patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.
