Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly server for the DoubleTree Newark Airport in Newark, NJ. Greet guests, take orders, serve meals promptly while upholding brand standards and guest satisfaction.

You will work on the floor, answer menu questions, operate the POS, and ensure accurate plating and timely service. The role requires English proficiency, teamwork, and physical stamina, including lifting up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to service manual.
• Do all necessary set-up sidework as assigned.
• Answer any guest questions about the menu.
• Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
• Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
