Job summary

Crowne Plaza Newark Airport is seeking a friendly Breakfast Server to take and deliver orders and ensure guests have a positive dining experience. You will be the face of our restaurant, delivering timely service with a smile.

Candidates should be reliable, punctual, and able to communicate in English, with basic cash handling skills and a strong sense of teamwork. High school diploma is a plus. Drug-free workplace and E-Verify participation are part of our policy.

Qualifications

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience.
Must be able to communicate and understand English.
Basic math and cash handling skills.
Patience and customer-oriented approach.
Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
Responsible and trustworthy.
High school diploma is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
Present menus, take orders, and serve food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and ingredients.
Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products.
Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff.
Respond to guest requests and resolve any service issues promptly, professionally, and with a positive attitude.
Process payments accurately using POS system.
Side-work, restocking, and restaurant opening/closing duties.
