Job summary

Cocoon House in Monroe, WA is seeking a Youth Housing Support Staff (Residential Youth Counselor) to create a safe, supportive environment for teens in our emergency shelter. You will build positive relationships, teach life and social skills, and support youth in a residential setting, while working evening shifts on-site.

The ideal candidate brings a passion for youth, knowledge of trauma-informed practices, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Minimum 6 months experience with youth.
• Attend weekly team meetings and bi-weekly supervision.
• DCYF background clearance required.
• Valid driver's license with clean abstract.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive relationships with youth and staff.

• Assess emergencies and provide appropriate support.
