Job summary

Mission Edge, in partnership with Stepping Stone of San Diego, is seeking a Night Shift Residential Substance Use Disorder Counselor to support a 31‑bed program in San Diego. You will provide individual and group counseling, manage a small caseload, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery.

The role requires CCAPP/CAADE/CADTP registration within 5 years, CPR/First Aid, ASAM training, and flexibility for nights and weekends in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Maintain active CCAPP/CAADE/CADTP registration and certify within 5 years.
• Keep CPR/First Aid current; ASAM training as required.
• Demonstrate cultural competency with LGBTQI+ communities.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload of 4–5 residents; meet weekly.
• Facilitate individual and group SUD counseling sessions weekly.
• Provide case management and connections to resources.
• Perform SUD assessments and document progress.
• Administer medication calls per protocols; HIPAA compliant.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; attend trainings.
