Job summary

LSS Summit Oaks in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a dedicated Residential Shift Coordinator to support youth ages 10-17 in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment program. You will supervise residential staff and help maintain a therapeutic environment, while joining designated team meetings and crisis interventions.

This full-time role offers evening hours (1:00pm–11:00pm) with weekend/holiday shifts, and a competitive $21–$23/hour wage, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science preferred, or equivalent education/experience.
• Background checks include convictions related to safety of children and abuse.
• Must be 21+ and complete orientation training.

Responsibilities

• Direct and maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for youth ages 10-17 in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment program.
• Provide direct supervision and training to designated residential staff.
• Attend and participate in team meetings, in-service training, and crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science field preferred; or post‑secondary education and a minimum of one year experience working with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must successfully complete all agency background checks, which include checks for criminal convictions, behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards.
• Requires active auto‑insurance, a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with approved driver status.
