Job summary

Casa de Amparo in California is seeking a Part-Time Residential Counselor to support youth aged 12–17 in a residential setting. You will ensure safety, assist with daily activities, and collaborate with clinical staff to implement treatment plans.

The role includes weekend shifts and a base rate with premiums. Responsibilities include supervising youths and their children, transporting residents when needed, and participating in meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a human science field.
• Valid Child Development Teaching Permit or equivalent.
• 12 semester units in ECE/Adolescent Development with at least 100 hours working with youth.
• Must be 21+ and able to pass background checks and immunizations.
• Ability to stay calm in crisis and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure youth safety and supervision in the residential setting.
• Provide daily activities and transportation as needed.
• Support clinical treatment plans with youth and families.
• Assist with medication administration and documentation.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; perform admin duties.
• Collaborate with program managers and clinical staff.
