Job summary

MAB Community Services in Brookline, MA is seeking a Therapeutic Community Counselor to join our residential program. You will work with our neurodiverse students in the early mornings and late evenings, providing supportive learning opportunities and supervision during the overnight shift.

You will implement CPI, ARC, and PBIS frameworks, help with activities of daily living, and contribute to crisis response and progress documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required; BA/BS preferred.
• Background check, TB, drug and alcohol testing will be performed prior to start.
• CPI, CPR and First Aid certification (training offered upon hire)
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic learning environment with individualized student support based on their learning and treatment needs.
• Support students with daily stressors using CPI, PBIS, and ARC frameworks.
• Assist with morning and bedtime routines for residential students.
• Provide one-on-one support to encourage engagement in ADLs.
• Become familiar with residential students’ treatment goals and crisis plans.
• Complete daily student progress summaries and incident reports.
• Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintain a therapeutic residential environment by ensuring health and safety and implementing school-wide frameworks.
• Help students develop skills to achieve a life of joy and purpose.
