Job summary

The W Group in New York seeks a compassionate Resident Safety Coordinator to maintain a peaceful, safe, and welcoming environment in our assisted living community. The role focuses on reducing risk, handling safety incidents, and acting as the first responder to concerns among residents, staff, and guests.

You will de-escalate conflicts, foster non-judgmental conversations, support policy improvements for stronger safety, and partner with management to uphold our commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in safety management, including de-escalation preferred.
• Experience working directly with vulnerable populations.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal, verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to circumstances in a sometimes-high-pressure environment and demonstrate sound judgement

Responsibilities

• Reduce risk factors and promote safety throughout the facility.
• Address safety incidents and de-escalate conflicts.
• Serve as first point of contact for safety concerns and interventions.
• Proactively engage with staff and residents to maintain a safe, secure environment.
