Job summary

DeCoach Recovery Centre in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Resident Monitor to provide a safe, structured living environment and non-clinical support for clients in recovery. The role emphasizes consistency, compassionate presence, and accurate documentation to help clients navigate daily challenges.

You will lead groups, assist with front-office tasks, transport clients when needed, and collaborate with a dedicated team to sustain a compassionate, drug-free setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Ohio driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Commitment to client confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and co-workers.
• Reliable follow-through on documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Belief in our mission, vision, and values, and a desire to support a positive, pro-social, drug-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, secure, and structured environment for clients to focus on healing.
• Serve as a non-clinical resource by listening, answering everyday questions, and providing crisis intervention when needed.
• Maintain accurate written records and give written or verbal reports on client activity and behavior.
• Facilitate required groups and structured activities.
• Handle facility maintenance needs or report issues to your Supervisor.
• Review client charts, answer phones, greet guests, and handle copying and filing.
• Transport clients to offsite meetings and activities as needed.
• Take part in a 30-minute shift change with verbal shift report and key handoff, plus monthly supervision and all required training.
• Perform other duties as requested.
