Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging. The role requires preparation of contrast agents, patient instruction, and adherence to ALARA principles.

Responsibilities include image evaluation, PACS transfer, equipment maintenance, and ensuring proper patient identification and order verification. On-site work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment with structured supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
• Upon Hire required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required.
• Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general diagnostic radiological and fluoroscopic procedures utilizing standardized positioning and ALARA concepts.
• Produces x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist.
• Ensures protection of patients from undue exposure to radiation using lead shields and safety factors.
• Prepares and assists in administering contrast agents while monitoring dosage for allergies.
• Maintains imaging equipment and assists in quality assurance.
