Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform scans and related diagnostic exams. You will prepare patients, operate CT equipment, and coordinate protocols with radiologists to ensure high-quality images.

Responsibilities include patient education, maintaining infection control, labeling images for PACS, and ensuring timely documentation in IDX, with adherence to radiation safety and department SOPs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive CT experience (Will consider new graduates).
• Excellent technical skills, knowledge of cross sectional anatomy, physiology and positioning.
• New York State License (L.R.T.).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (ARRT and current CT certification)
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists, prepares and positions patients as required to perform imaging procedures.
• Performs CT Scans and other Diagnostic exams.
• Operates radiographic imaging equipment including injectors.
• Prepares patients with aseptic solutions and sterile drapes.
• Loads and programs contrast media power injectors.
• Coordinates scan protocols with radiologist.
• Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
• Ensures all images are labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion.
• Maintains room cleanliness and supplies in imaging room.
