Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift at Greenwood, SC. The role involves detailed product inspections, selecting the right inspection tools, and ensuring all quality records and process changes are properly signed off.

You will collaborate with supervisors, managers, engineers, and product managers to resolve CARs before shipment. The ideal candidate has a High school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in manufacturing or quality work, and familiarity with MS Windows applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Two-year technical degree in Engineering preferred.
• One year of work experience in a quality role preferred.
• One year of assembly experience preferred.
• Experience with MS Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspection activities to ensure products meet customer specs.
• Select inspection equipment and methods based on product requirements.
• Ensure checklists, red tags, and process changes are signed off by certified personnel.
• Communicate issues to area supervisors and managers for timely CAR resolution.
• Maintain records of defect data for historical analysis.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment for accuracy.
• Review drawings and inspect structures to identify defects.
• Prepare DMRs for nonconforming items and coordinate with suppliers.
