Job summary

Good Samaritan in Windsor, CO is seeking caring nursing staff to provide medication administration, daily living support, and attentive healthcare services to residents in a Christian, not-for-profit environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with self-administration of medications, bathing, dressing, transferring, vital signs, infection control, and following location procedures while maintaining a safe, compassionate atmosphere for seniors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. GED may be required based on working state.
• Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies per state guidelines.
• If working at a facility where a lift is used, must meet the minimum state age requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provides care and services such as medication administration, healthcare services, activities of daily living assistance and other duties, as assigned, in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform according to location standards and procedures.
• Assists residents with self-administration of medications.
• May administer medications with proper training.
• Assists residents in maintaining proper and clean appearance; helps with bathing and maintaining cleanliness.
• Assists residents with toileting needs, dressing, and undressing and maintains proper clothing.
• Assists residents in transferring, repositioning and walking; obtains vital signs accurately; reports health changes.
• Follows OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections and uses aseptic cleaning techniques; follows SDS guidelines for exposures.
