Job summary

St. Paul’s Assisted Living in South Bend, IN, seeks a compassionate QMA to join our healthcare team on the evening shift. You will administer medications, monitor residents, assist with ADLs, and document care in line with Indiana state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana QM A certification required.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration and resident care standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to serve seniors.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed in compliance with state regulations.
• Monitor residents for health changes and report observations to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care activities.
• Adhere to infection control and safety procedures to keep environments clean and safe.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members for coordinated care.
• Support nursing staff in emergencies and prompt resident care.
• Foster a warm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for residents and families.
