Lee Kum Kee is seeking a QA Lab Assistant to support daily testing and quality monitoring of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished sauces. This shift runs 4:30pm to 1:00am in City of Industry, CA, collaborating with Production, QA, Warehouse, and R&D to ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory standards before shipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of lab, quality assurance, or food manufacturing experience preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant coursework welcome.
• Basic knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety practices; PCQI, HACCP, or SQF training a plus.
• Familiarity with lab testing equipment such as pH meters, refractometers, scales, and viscometers.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and data entry in a quality or ERP system.
• Clear communicator, comfortable working with production and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a plant environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise.

Responsabilités

• Collect samples and perform tests according to SOPs and sample plans.
• Record test results accurately in lab logs and batch records.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain lab equipment like pH meters, refractometers, scales, and viscometers.
• Support GMP/HACCP procedures and food safety practices.
• Communicate test results and quality issues to cross-functional teams.
• Assist with audit readiness and maintain organized documentation.
