Job summary

Lee Kum Kee is seeking a Lab Technician for the night shift in City of Industry, CA. You will perform chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses to ensure product quality, working closely with Production and QA/QC teams to interpret results and drive corrective actions.

The role emphasizes data entry, trend analysis, and maintaining high standards of scientific integrity and Good Laboratory Practices within a globally recognized brand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required, a college degree is preferred.
• At least 1+ years working in a lab environment; experience in a food lab is preferred.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and diagrams for setup.
• Ability to solve problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write reports and deliver clear presentations.
• Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to handle basic math, rates, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Perform Chemical and physical analysis for samples (product, ingredients, environmental, sanitation) and adjust ingredients to target ranges.
• Discuss results with production and QA/QC to recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct microbiological analysis for provided samples.
• Verify data against specifications and determine acceptability.
• Enter data into systems and perform trend analysis; report trends to supervisor.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; keep working area clean.
• Collaborate with fellow lab technicians to provide timely data.
• Cover for other lab staff when needed; assist with inventory of lab supplies.
• Support QA/QC management to improve microbiological, chemical, and physical quality.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practice at all times; perform other assignments as requested.
