Job summary

Aapstaff is seeking a Production Team Lead Assistant for our Illinois facility. The role supports shift leadership, ensures safety, quality, and efficient production operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing line readiness, coaching staff, enforcing GMPs, labeling accuracy, and resolving on-line issues. The position covers both 1st and 2nd shifts with a Monday–Friday schedule and requires physical fitness to stand, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in a cooler environment.

Qualifications

• Lead by example to maintain safety and quality.
• Ensure GMP compliance and proper labeling.
• Assist and train new and temporary workers.
• Maintain packaging materials and line readiness.
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate equipment safety and line readiness.
• Motivate workers to meet production targets while preserving quality.
• Ensure SKUs are packed per schedule.
• Verify product weights and labels; troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials with Inventory staff.
• Support HACCP plan and CCPs.
• Drive a safety culture via training and supervision.
