Job summary

Aapstaff in Illinois is seeking a Production Team Lead Assistant to support the line leadership on first and second shifts. You will help ensure safety, quality, and on-time production while guiding team members through standard procedures.

The role requires basic math, the ability to stand for long periods, and bilingual Spanish/ Conversational English. You will train new staff, monitor GMP compliance, and help maintain inventory and packaging accuracy.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Bi-lingual Spanish/ Conversational English preferred.
• Good physical fitness: stand/walk for long periods.
• Can lift up to 35 pounds.
• Able to work in a cooler environment (40F or less).
• Basic mechanical works experience.
• Ability to drive a safety culture through training meetings.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Strong time management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assistant Team Leader evaluates equipment for safety and functionality and ensures production readiness.
• Motivate workers to meet production quantity while upholding quality.
• Ensure SKUs are packed according to the production schedule.
• Maintain product safety: weights, labels, and troubleshooting issues.
• Ensure GMP compliance and address policy violations.
• Assist and train line workers, including temporary staff.
• Maintain inventory control of packaging materials with Inventory Control Specialist.
• Be knowledgeable of HACCP plan and CCPs.
