Job summary

Sonoco Products Company in Stockton, CA seeks a 2nd Shift Supervisor to create a safe, high-performing work environment in the partitions plant. You will lead production teams, enforce safety policies, coach employees, and ensure timely delivery of customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in paper converting, corrugated manufacturing, or protective packaging operations
• At least 2 years in supervisory or team leadership role
• Knowledge of corrugated partitions, die cutting, assembly, finishing, and material flow preferred
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, safety systems, quality standards, and production planning
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures
• Ensure OSHA compliance and plant safety requirements
• Lead safety discussions and maintain a safe work environment
• Lead, coach, and develop production employees in a team setting
• Direct daily production activities to meet customer requirements and production schedules
• Coordinate labor resources to maximize productivity
• Monitor production performance and equipment effectiveness
• Partner with maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability
• Communicate priorities and performance results to employees
• Maintain accurate production, labor, quality, and safety records
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives
