Job summary

Sonoco in Stockton, CA is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead daily production, safety, and quality in a fast-paced corrugated packaging operation. This role reports to the Plant Manager and builds a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring customer requirements and production schedules are met.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, 5 years in paper converting or protective packaging with 2 years in supervision, plus knowledge of safety

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of experience in paper converting or corrugated packaging operations.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of safety systems, quality standards, and production planning.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
• Direct daily production activities to meet customer requirements and schedules.
• Lead, coach, and develop production employees in a team environment.
• Coordinate labor resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor production performance and communicate results to plant leadership.
• Assist with budget management and cost control efforts.
