Job summary

PPG in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a Production Operator for an immediate opening. The role pays $25.14 per hour plus shift differential and involves setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, including machining, processing, assembly, or packaging tasks.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, safe operation, regular maintenance, inspections, assisting junior operators, and routing materials between the warehouse and work area while adhering to safety

Qualifications

Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
Ability to work any job and work overtime as needed.
Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.

Responsibilities

Set up production equipment and supplies before executing job orders.
Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
Ensure equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
Inspect equipment to identify replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
Clean the equipment when needed.
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer production materials between warehouse and working area.
Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
