Job summary

PPG in Oak Creek, WI is hiring a Batch Processor - Packaging Tier II for the 3rd shift (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM). The role focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment and supplies, monitoring performance, performing routine maintenance, assisting junior operators, and ensuring safe PPE use.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
• Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
