Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is hiring a Batch Processor - Packaging Tier II for the Oak Creek, Wisconsin facility. This 3rd shift position runs from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $25.14 per hour. The role focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment.

You will set up and run equipment, ensure safe operations, perform maintenance, inspect for issues, and assist junior operators as needed. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds consistently.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Must be clean shaven to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment and supplies before executing job orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Maintain equipment in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment for replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
• Assist junior operators in assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean equipment as needed.
• Evaluate equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer equipment between areas.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
