Job summary

Glanbia is seeking an Assistant Production Manager for the West Haven, CT facility to oversee daily production operations, develop staff, and drive safety, quality, and performance. You will work cross-functionally with Warehouse, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and other plant functions to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time manufacturing while supporting continuous improvement and accountability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in food, nutrition, supplement, pharmaceutical, or related regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing production teams.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

• Promote a behavior based safety culture with a goal of creating a zero risk workplace.
• Drive continuous improvement using GPS principles to achieve zero loss.
• Maintain high quality standards and zero error tolerance per SOPs.
• Serve on HACCP team and participate in food safety meetings.
• Oversee budgeting for production and monitor variances to budget.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing department functions and staff; hire, train, evaluate, and discipline as needed.
