Job summary

Pacific Cheese, Co. in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Production Associate 2 to support daily production runs. You will handle components, label finished goods, and help maintain packaging integrity while meeting quality specs.

Working from 2:30 PM to 11:05 PM with occasional overtime, you will follow GMPs, document logs in Navision, and collaborate with team members to ensure on-time delivery and safe food handling.

Responsibilities

• Review daily production schedules and understand work requirements.
• Understand product specifications and ensure finished product meets QA specs; inform parties when problems encountered.
• Apply labels to finished packaging and verify code dates.
• Document vendor lot numbers on the packaging log.
• Ensure correct date, label, box, case count, packaging integrity, no leaks, no cross contamination; data logged in Navision.
• Ensure products meet weight requirements.
• Open, prepare, and inspect raw material for daily production run.
• Ensure consumed products meet specs and are free of cross contamination.
• Load and push cheese products on line for cutting process.
• Store packaging supplies and department tools properly.
• Keep production area clean.
• Discard used packaging materials properly.
• Pack finished product into appropriate packaging.
• Prepare and load materials to discard used corrugated materials.
• Operate compacting equipment to discard used corrugated material.
• Follow GMPs for food safety and safe work practices; avoid unsafe behavior.
• Attend all department and company trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
