Job summary

Mars in New York is seeking an automated-process Operator to run and changeover equipment in the assigned area while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. You will train peers as needed and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with duties spanning from line changeovers to 5S cleanliness and TPM participation. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 or High School diploma.
• Preferred: Associate degree in engineering/manufacturing.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in a food related manufacturing environment with automated processes, including PLC/HMI.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up equipment in the assigned area.
• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers.
• Fill out HACCP and military sheets correctly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing area per 5S standards.
• Actively participate in TPM teams and stop the process for non-conformance when needed.
