Job summary

Darling Ingredients seeks a Process Operator to run computer controlled process equipment and support the cooker and related machinery. You will test product quality and resolve process issues during the 2:00pm to 11:00pm shift.

The role requires adhering to all safety guidelines and food safety programs, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a steady material flow through the rendering line. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED equivalence required.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storage.
• Maintain steady flow of material to cooker.
• Maintain cooker temperature, rate, and steam at peak levels.
• Monitor evaporation rate to meet hourly requirements.
• Control flow of material to presses and to finished goods storage.
• Operate pollution control systems and wastewater control.
• Responsible for boiler start up and operation.
• Perform periodic preventative maintenance on equipment in process.
• Ensure equipment and work area are clean after each shift.
• Adhere to Darling's food safety program and safety rules.
