Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Process Operator for a third shift to operate the computer controlled process equipment, cooker, and related systems, ensuring product quality and efficient production.

Responsibilities include overseeing rendering from material intake to finished goods, maintaining cooker conditions, monitoring gauges, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Prior manufacturing experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
• Experience in a rendering facility or production environment is a plus.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversees rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storage.
• Maintain steady flow of material to cooker and control cooker temperature, rate and steam.
• Monitor gauges and control panels to ensure process runs correctly.
• Operate pollution control and boiler systems and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean work area and uphold safety rules.
