Job summary

Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee is seeking a PM Prep Cook to support evening culinary operations by preparing ingredients and items per recipes and quality standards. You will help ensure the kitchen is stocked for dinner service and maintain high food safety and cleanliness standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of cooking experience, a HS diploma (preferred), and ability to lift up to 100 lbs. This is a Local 122 union position with a starting hourly wage of $21.84.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years cooking experience in a similar role or apprenticeship program preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to obtain local, state or federal sanitation/food service certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Complete daily prep tasks to ensure readiness for dinner service.
• Label, date, store, rotate and organize all prep items following FIFO.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safe storage of all products.
• Support culinary team during busy periods and aid in banquet events.
