Job summary

AFP / Schivo in Plainview, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Precision Finishing, Deburring & Assembly Technician to support our precision manufacturing operations for medical devices and life-science components.

You will deburr, inspect, polish, and assemble CNC-machined parts, follow strict work instructions, and maintain traceability and quality documentation while working a 4pm-12 midnight schedule with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing, component finishing, assembly, or a similar production environment.
Strong manual dexterity with small precision components.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
Ability to read and follow written manufacturing instructions, routers, and procedures.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform precision deburring of CNC-machined components using hand tools and finishing equipment.
Remove burrs and surface imperfections without altering critical dimensions.
Polish, finish, and cosmetically improve components per specs.
Inspect components for scratches, damage, burrs, and contamination.
Maintain traceability and documentation for finished assemblies.
Operate ultrasonic cleaning equipment and follow cleaning procedures.
Record production and inspection data accurately.
