Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Post Fab BGBM Module Engineer for the Hopewell Junction, NY site. This evening shift role supports manufacturing operations with dedicated coverage, ensuring rapid response to excursions, tool alarms, and quality events while coordinating with operations and engineering teams.

The engineer will own day-to-day tooling support, mentor technicians, and contribute to process control strategies, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field as listed.
• 3+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience supporting metrology, process engineering, equipment engineering, yield engineering, or manufacturing engineering functions.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and structured problem solving.
• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day engineering support for assigned tools and processes during evening manufacturing operations.
• Mentor and train technicians and junior engineers in troubleshooting methodologies and best practices.
• Provide rapid technical response to process excursions, tool alarms, quality events, and production-impacting issues.
• Partner with manufacturing supervisors and technicians to maintain stable production operations.
• Develop and maintain process control strategies, monitoring plans, and escalation procedures.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, procedures, specifications, and training materials.
