Job summary

Hydro Extrusion USA, LLC is seeking a PLC & Maintenance Technician to support installation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of PLCs and automation equipment in our North Liberty, IN facility.

The role involves wiring, PLC/HMI setup, diagnostics, and documentation. Preference for candidates with ladder logic basics and familiarity with RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000, sensors, I/O configurations, and industrial networks.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
• Basic understanding of ladder logic troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques.
• Knowledge of industrial sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
• Familiarity with digital and analog I/O configuration and verification.
• Basic knowledge of industrial communication networks and PLC-to-device communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related automation equipment.
• Basic wiring, PLC, and HMI setup.
• Assist in wiring and installation of PLC hardware.
• Perform basic diagnostics and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC I/O diagrams.
• Support senior technicians in system testing and commissioning.
• Maintain documentation and logs of work performed.
• Configure, scale, and troubleshoot analog signals and instrumentation.
• Perform basic PLC program uploads, downloads, and online monitoring.
• Use multimeters and basic electrical testing equipment.
