Job summary

Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Technician to support patient safety and actively participate in the treatment team. The MHT provides continuous care and role modeling for patients across age groups, under RN supervision.

Under CPI and CPR requirements, you will contribute to crisis prevention and patient well-being while joining a 134-bed facility known for inpatient and outpatient mental health services. Orientation is provided at start of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPI training prior to unit orientation.
• CPR certification prior to independent patient assignment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety as the primary function of the MHT.
• Provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling for patients across age ranges.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and be an active part of the treatment team.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Degree in social work / therapeutic discipline preferred
