Job summary

Santa Fe College is seeking an Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach phlebotomy, primarily in the Perry Center for Emerging Technologies. Courses will be offered in the evenings, with a flexible schedule across the academic year for didactic and laboratory instruction.

The incumbent will develop, prepare, and deliver phlebotomy coursework, assess student learning, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with the department chair and peers to maintain program quality and Accreditation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any qualifying field or an associate degree with demonstrated competencies.
• Relevant teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory and/or classroom settings.
• Support and promote the college and departmental missions centered on excellence.
• Collaborate with department chair, faculty, and peers to revise curriculum.
• Honor privacy and security of student records and sensitive information.
• Provide frequent, timely assessment and clear feedback on student performance.
• Document student progress, attendance, and learning outcomes.
• Maintain appropriate office hours and assist with coordinating internships.
• Correlate clinical education with didactic education and evaluate student performance.
• Maintain current knowledge of the discipline and engage in professional development.
• Participate in meetings and program advisory committee work.
• Assist with implementing college policies and maintain SF college philosophy.
