Position Title

Adjunct Assistant Professor, Phlebotomy Program in Emerging Technologies

Job Summary

Part‑time faculty member reporting to a chair or director. Responsibilities include designing courses, delivering instruction, evaluating student learning, incorporating technology, engaging in professional development, and maintaining communication within the college and department or program.

Salary

Salary is determined per the Florida State Salary Schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory, and/or classroom settings to promote student success.
  • Support and promote the college and departmental missions centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, and service.
  • Collaborate with department chair, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum.
  • Strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information per state, federal, and college regulations.
  • Provide students with frequent, timely assessment and clear feedback on academic performance.
  • Appropriately document student progress and maintain records including attendance, grading, and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain appropriate office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment.
  • Assist with coordinating clinical internships and correlating clinical education with didactic education.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the discipline and educational methodologies via continuing professional development.
  • Participate in meetings and program advisory committee work as designated.
  • Assist with implementation of college policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with the college philosophy, values, and mission.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in any qualifying field or an associate degree and/or demonstrated competencies through certification or work experience.
  • Preferred: Relevant teaching experience.
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to deliver a high level of interactive customer service.
  • Capability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the organization.
  • Effective communication skills and proficient computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule at multiple sites.
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff at all levels within a diverse, multi‑cultural, collaborative environment.
