Southcoast Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant-Phlebotomist for the evening shift at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. This 24-hour weekly role offers a $1,500 new hire sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Under supervision, you will obtain specimens, label accurately, and process orders using LIS. You will perform phlebotomy for inpatient and outreach clients, maintain equipment, and ensure timely reporting of results.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to completion of a college-based, nationally accredited phlebotomy program or Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
• ASCP BOC certification required within two years from date of hire.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption by signing a statement.

Responsabilités

• Obtain correct specimens and volumes according to procedures and label accurately.
• Process and deliver specimens to correct laboratory departments using LIS or logs.
• Perform phlebotomy on inpatients and outreach clients; maintain equipment and instrumentation.
