Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant - Phlebotomist for the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. The role features an evening shift (1:00pm–9:30pm, 2:00pm–10:30pm, or 3:00pm–11:30pm) with weekend and holiday rotation and includes a $3,000 new hire sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy across inpatient and outreach settings, specimen collection, labeling, data entry, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy program or Medical Laboratory Assistant program completed.
• ASCP BOC certification required within two years from date of hire.
• Fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption (signed statement).

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct specimens and volumes per procedures.
• Ensure proper labeling of all specimens.
• Process and deliver specimens to correct lab departments; enter patient data in LIS.
• Generate accurate reports in a timely fashion; maintain equipment and instrumentation.
