Job summary

Beacon Health System in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a full-time phlebotomy technician to join the laboratory team. You will perform specimen collection, processing, labeling, and related clerical duties to ensure accurate test results.

The role includes venipuncture/capillary collections, LIS data entry, and QA/QC tasks with care provider coordination. Phlebotomy training and at least one year of experience are preferred. Shift: 1:00 pm–11:30 pm, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training and/or certification preferred.
• One year of patient care, phlebotomy, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and collect specimens accurately.

Responsibilities

• Accessioning and processing specimens and confirming accuracy.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections.
• Label and route specimens to appropriate lab sections.
• Enter data into LIS and maintain accurate records.
• Provide general office/clerical support as needed.
