Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) Southwest in Austin, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary methods. Responsibilities include promoting customer service, adhering to OSHA/HIPAA standards, and supporting training for new staff while maintaining safety and accuracy in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy class preferred.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience or completion of phlebotomy class.
• Knowledge of laboratory environment and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary methods.
• Process laboratory orders and specimens according to protocol.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and Code of Conduct.
• Promote professional customer service.
• Assist with training new employees/students.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the laboratory.
• Flex to other clinics as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and universal precautions.
