Job summary

Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and process laboratory specimens in a part-time capacity. You will greet patients, draw blood, label specimens, and maintain accurate documentation while ensuring confidentiality.

The role requires phlebotomy training, Washington licensure eligibility within 90 days, and BLS/CPR certification. Evening shifts are available with a pay range of $22.00–$38.50 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomy license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a phlebotomy training program.
• BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and explains the procedure.
• Follows patient identification policy and collects blood samples.
• Labels specimens with two identifiers immediately after collection.
• Performs blood draws per test order and timing.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to infection-control policies.
• Transports specimens and supplies as needed.
• Assists with inventory and record-keeping in the laboratory.
